On September 2, 2010 the Decreto por el que se establecen las acciones que deberán llevarse a cabo por la Administración Pública Federal para concretar la transición a la Televisión Digital Terrestre (Presidential Decree upon which the Mexican Federal Government shall pursue a series of actions to complete the transition to digital terrestrial television) (hereinafter the “Decree”) was published. The Decree considers that Mexico is in the position to end over-the-air analogue TV transmissions by 2015.

On July 5, 2010, the Ley Federal de Proteccion de Datos Personales en Posesion de Particulares (Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Private Companies or Individuals) (herein after the “Law”), was published.  The Law entered into force the day after it was published in the Diario Oficial de la Federacion (Official Gazette).  There is a provision that provides that the Regulations of the Law shall be promulgated within the following year of the Law taking effect.
